I actually avoid flu shots like the flu...errr...plague. High risk patients like me, who have asthma, diabetes, compromised immune systems, are very young or are pregnant need the shot. The average healthy person doesn't need to take a shot that could save the life of one of us that needs it. Think about others, don't just be part of that me, me, me mentality. If you are a healthy adult, you will get over it easily in a couple of days, even without the shot. Just think, next time there could be a vaccine that you need and it is taken up by others who really don't need it but get it because some "know-it-all" on the news told them they would die if they didn't run out and get it.
